For first time in history, Adelaide Botanic Gardens open gates to dogs

Hundreds of dog walkers and their loyal companions descended on Adelaide’s Botanic Garden this weekend to take part in Million Paws Walk ……In fact, it was the first time in history that dogs have been allowed access to the Gardens.

As a treat, we decided to share our favourite photos from the event.

Two well-behaved Border Collies rocking their favourite bandanas.

One pointy-eared junior, with antennas so big they don’t even fit in the photo.

A couple of busy bee siblings are seeing what all the buzz of Million Paws Walk is about.

A distinguished botanist proudly sits in front of the Cactaceae section of the garden.

A pair of stoic Airedale Terriers posing in the late morning sun.

A young pup ready to emBARK on a walk where no dog has stepped before.

Two faces share the same expression of pure joy.

A brother and sister argue about what section of the garden they are going to visit next.

Nothing warms our hearts on a frosty autumn morning more than seeing a group of proud doggo’s posing with their beloved pawrents.

Autumn has to be the most colourful time of year!

This adorable pup was all tired out after meeting so many new furry friends.

One resting woofer watches the morning paw traffic safely from the grassy sidelines.

One happy tail-wagger receives a good girl pat after finishing the walk without digging up a single flowerbed.

Two dogs discuss how they will convince their hoomans to take them to Million Paws Walk next year.

This scruffy fellow was the very last dog to mark a tree on the walk, officially making him the king of the Botanic Gardens for 2022.

Thank you to all of you who attended and made it such an amazing day!!!
