Four youths arrested after police car rammed in Hallam

Police were on patrol when they pulled into the car park of a service station and saw two male youths running towards a running car with stolen number plates on Hallam South Road about 1am.

The officers used their car to block the Holden Commodore’s escape path, when the driver has allegedly rammed the police car.

The detectives used their car to push the offending vehicle back until it was trapped by the building.

All four male occupants – a 16-year-old from Doveton and three 17-year-olds from Cranbourne North, Pakenham and Clyde North – were all taken into custody.

Police also allegedly located a small amount of cannabis in the vehicle.

The teens will face various charges relating to shop theft from the service station, expose emergency service worker to danger, conduct endangering person and possess cannabis.
