The AFP has laid 115 additional charges on a former Sydney childcare worker as part of Operation Moonbi bringing the total number of charges the man will face to 444.
The charges relate to the exploitation of children known to the man, and those who attended five early childhood education facilities in Sydney’s north-west in which he worked at or attended between 2009 and 2025.
At this stage, the total number of victims identified in Operation Moonbi has not increased.
The additional charges include:
- 105 counts of producing child abuse material, contrary to section 91H(2) of the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW);
One count of carrying out a sexual act with a child under 10 years of age, contrary to section 66DC(b) of the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW);
Five counts of filming a person engaged in a private act in circumstances of aggravation, contrary to section 91K(3) of the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW); and
Four counts of possessing child abuse material, contrary to section 91H(2) of the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW).
The man, 35, has been remanded in custody since he was arrested and charged by the AFP in July, 2025.
The matter is scheduled to be heard in Parramatta Local Court on 8 October, 2026.
