Friday nights at pool

‘Friday Nights at the Pool’ is a series of three fun events, kicking off this Friday 11 December at Payneham Memorial Swimming Centre.

Designed with young people in mind, Friday Nights at the Pool will be held on 11 December, 8 January and 12 February.

Mayor Robert Bria said that the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the cancellation of many events and regular activities that young people normally get to enjoy throughout the year.

“Friday Nights at the Pool offers our younger citizens the opportunity to get out and enjoy warm, summer nights at the picturesque Payneham Memorial Swimming Centre with their family and friends.”

A family-friendly event, Friday Nights at the Pool offers food, fun and entertainment in a safe environment.

“With the weather heating up later this week, it’s a great opportunity to cool down while enjoying entertainment and music.

“Children can also put themselves to the test and take on the challenges of the inflatable obstacle course.”

All Friday Nights at the Pool events will be held in accordance with current State Government restrictions and health guidelines.

“The Council prioritises the health and well-being of our community and, as such, is committed to delivering all events in a COVID Safe manner.”

All patrons are encouraged and expected to adhere to physical distancing requirements and practice good hand and cough hygiene while attending any Council event or facility.”

“It will be fantastic to see the swimming centre bustling with children and families, so we’d appreciate that everyone adheres to health guidelines so Friday Nights at the Pool can be an enjoyable event for everyone.”

Entry is $5 per person and includes a choice of either hot chips or a hotdog plus a drink of either 600ml water or 375ml can of soft drink. Tickets must be booked online prior to the event at www.npsp.sa.gov.au.
