Funding available for artists to bring creative dreams to life

Territory artists can make their creative dreams come true thanks to a series of funding opportunities designed to support employment, recognise excellence and showcase the Territory’s rich arts and cultural sector.

The Territory Labor Government is investing $6.8 million in the 2023-24 Arts Grants Program which includes:

Quick Response grants of up to $1,000 per applicant to access arts and cultural opportunities at short notice;Creative Communities grants of up to $5,000 per applicant for arts initiatives that increase community access and participation in the arts and widen the diversity of arts audiences and participants;Professional Development grants of up to $2,000 per financial year to access and participate in career development activities;Arts Projects grants up to $20,000 per application and Creative Residencies and Fellowships grants of up to $40,000 per application to support the creation and showcasing of arts and arts career development; andNXT Gen ARTS category of up to $13,000 per application to provide workplace experiences to young artists, 18 – 25 years old, in established arts organisations which opens on 16 October.

Arts grants provide support for sustainable employment and career development opportunities with 95 NT artists and arts workers, and 55 arts organisations benefiting from the funding.

The NT Arts Grants Program has helped showcase some of the NTs finest artists such as Gary Lang, Baker Boy, Aly de Groot, and Claire Kilgariff.
