Funding for 66 NSW Black Spots

The state will receive $31.9 million to greatly improve safety at locations where crashes are occurring, or are risk of occurring, by funding treatments such as pedestrian crossings, guardrails and roundabouts.

These 66 Black Spot projects will go a long way towards reducing serious injuries and deaths on NSW roads and build on previous investments across the state.

Anyone can nominate a Black Spot for considation. The Consultative Panels provide stakeholders with the opportunity to have a say in the project selection process and ensure nominations of the highest priority and importance to local communities are recommended for approval.

The NSW panel includes representatives from Transport for NSW, the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia, the Traffic Management Association of Australia, Local Government NSW, the NRMA, the NSW Police Force, the Centre for Road Safety, and the Federation of P&C Associations.
