Further charges laid in investigation into cannabis supply – SF Ince

A man will appear in court today charged as investigations continue into the supply of cannabis in Sydney’s south-west.

In March 2022, Wetherill Park Region Enforcement Squad (RES) established Strike Force Ince to investigate the activities of a syndicate believed to be involved in ‘dial-a dealer’-style supply of cannabis.

During their investigations, a referral was made to the Professional Standard Command, who commenced inquiries in conjunction with Wetherill Park RES.

As part of the investigation, three men – aged 27, 32 and 42 – and a 58-year-old woman have been charged. They remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, strike force investigators attended a correctional facility in Silverwater yesterday (Thursday 22 June 2023), where they charged a 32-year-old man with three counts of supply indictable quantity of prohibited drug.

The man, who was a former police officer, was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (Friday 23 June 2023).

Investigations under Strike Force Ince are continuing.
