Area

Status

Oberon, Wallerawang, and Lithgow

Jemena is currently conducting make-safe activities, these are estimated for completion as follows:

  • Oberon by COB, Sunday 6 November 2022,
  • Lithgow and Wallerawang by COB, Monday 7 November 2022.

Customers in Oberon, with the exception of the Oberon Hospital, life support, and other vulnerable customers, have had their gas supply suspended. This is a necessary safety precaution ahead of ongoing gas supply being reinstated.

APA is actively working on a range of short and long-term solutions to restore gas supply as safely and as quickly as possible. We will provide updates where we can on these short-term solutions, including the timeframe on reconnection times.

Subject to weather conditions not deteriorating and suitable construction conditions, APA anticipates a permanent solution could see gas supply restored to consumers in Lithgow, Wallerawang, and Oberon in approximately 4 weeks (from Friday 4 November).

Bathurst

Make-safe activities continue for parts of Bathurst, although the majority of residential connections have been made-safe.

Our crew have reconnected customers to the gas network in White Rock and Raglan.

Crew will commence reconnecting customers in Kelso, Gorman’s Hill, Abercrombie, Eglinton, Llanarth and Windradyne today (Sunday, 6 November 2022), and will continue to work through reconnection in these areas over the coming days.
