A girl missing from Lake Illawarra has been located safe and well.
The 17-year-old was last seen in the Newcastle area on Thursday 1 February 2024.
When she was unable to be located officers from Lake Illawarra Police District were notified and commenced inquiries to locate her.
Following inquiries and a public appeal, she was located by officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command in the Blacktown area, just before midnight yesterday (Thursday 8 February 2024).
Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.
