Glass art theft in CBD

Melbourne East Police are investigating the theft of an art piece at a store in the CBD last month.

It is believed a man entered the Collins Street store about 12PM on 4 January.

He picked up a glass art item from the central display, placing it under his jacket before walking directly out of the store.

The item is a unique Kosta Boda piece, valued at over $16,000.

The man is described as aged in his 60s, 180cm tall, medium build with grey hair and glasses and was wearing blue jeans, light coloured business shirt and was carrying a camel coloured coat over his shoulder.

Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries and an image of the glass art that was stolen.
