Labor is bringing more creative events to regional Victoria in 2027.
Minister for Creative Industries Vicki Ward today announced a new round of the Small Regional Presenters program.
The program brings top artists to regional venues and builds local talent.
Community groups and not-for-profits can apply for grants of up to $16,750.
Funding will assist with the costs of programming and presenting creative shows.
It will help local venues upskill staff, reach new audiences and develop long-term business plans.
The program also supports mentorships and workshops to build skills in regional communities and create job opportunities for local and visiting artists.
Since its launch in 2016, the Small Regional Presenters Program has supported more than 100 performances across regional Victoria – from circus and cabaret to First Nations music programs and children’s theatre.
Previous recipients have presented everything from storytelling residencies with local performers to music workshops and touring productions, strengthening creative communities across Victoria.
Only Labor will back the people and communities who drive our regional creative industries.
