Under new advice from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Melbourne councils can now resume enforcing Green Parking Zones under current COVID-19 restrictions.
We’ll start enforcing Green Parking Zones in Yarra again over the next few weeks, starting Monday 12 October 2020. This is to ensure public safety and equitable access to car parking as restrictions potentially ease.
Our parking inspectors work under Yarra’s COVIDSafe Plan and are following current health advice. This includes physical distancing, wearing face masks and practicing good hygiene.
We’re also working with local hospitals and medical facilities to ensure health care workers have fair access to car parking.
