A 53-year-old man has been charged following an investigation into a workplace incident at Cabarlah on 17 September.
Emergency services were called to a site on Escarpment Avenue shortly after 9am after it is alleged a man was injured during a physical altercation with another man, resulting in him falling from a platform and onto a metal bar.
The 26-year-old Crows Nest man sustained serious back injuries and was transported to Toowoomba Hospital for treatment.
There were no reports of other injuries.
Following investigations, a 53-year-old Harristown man was arrested this morning, 23 September, and charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.
He has been released on bail and is due to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on 13 October.
The victim has since been released from hospital.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland and police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
