After a successful debut in 2022, Secret Sounds is thrilled to announce the return of Harvest Rock, Adelaide’s newest annual two-day festival of sound and taste.
Harvest Rock II will return to its home in Murlawirrapurka & Ityamai-Itpina / Rymill & King Rodney Parks in downtown Adelaide on Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 October 2023 and will once again combine some of the world’s most-loved and iconic musical artists, alongside a celebration of the South Australia’s exceptional food and wine offerings.
2022 saw over 15,000 attendees unite each day across the weekend to experience an eclectic lineup of rock and electronic acts both homegrown and international. Performing across multiple stages, fans were treated to exclusive performances from Jack White and Kurt Vile & The Violators, along with sets from Crowded House, Khruangbin, Tones & I, The Avalanches, Courtney Barnett, and more.
The premium ticket offerings will return to Harvest Rock II in 2023 allowing festival goers the opportunity to elevate the festival feels. There’s the dedicated VIP Village and Harvest Lounge designed to make you feel like the star you are or turn your Harvest Rock II experience up another notch and book an exclusive private Suite overlooking the Harvest Stage. The luxe doesn’t stop there. Treat yourself to the ultimate ‘rock star’ experience with a Platinum ticket where you will have access to your own concierge, front of stage viewing areas, personal cocktail bar and curated food offerings to enjoy whilst taking in the view of the Harvest Stage from the lounge area on your private balcony.
Designed for the young and young at heart, you will find something for everyone over at Little Harvest, a dedicated mini festival which caters for all the kiddos from 0 to tween & everything in between! From arts & craft and glitter tattoos to circus and hula hoop workshops there will be a range of daily activities on offer to keep your young-in’s occupied and excited all day long.
Harvest Rock II is also a weekend for festival goers to immerse themselves in the finest festival and dining experiences along with indulging in South Australia’s first-class food and beverage offerings.
The event’s Feastiville precinct is a curated village of Adelaide’s finest restaurants and eateries, where you can find the state’s best-in-show, visit well-known local pop-up restaurants and be treated to the finest festival food fares. There is also the return of Wildwood, an exclusive sit-down restaurant presented by world renowned chef and co-owner of Arkhé, Jake Kellie. Or drop by the Hello Chef Stage, which will feature chefs and mixologists showcasing collaborations between some of Australia’s finest foodies, alongside talent from the musical lineup.
Last year, the event boasted a selection of destination bars, all artfully curated by acclaimed Australian wine critic Nick Stock as well as tailored beverages from the experts at Archie Rose Distilling Co. Attendees can again taste test their way around South Australia’s wine regions at the Harvest Rock II Cellar Door pop-up and even arrange for a bottle to be delivered direct to their home. Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison has said there is huge excitement for the return of Harvest Rock following its “incredible success” last year.
“Not only does Harvest Rock see South Australia’s very best food and beverage take centre stage, it brings thousands of festival-goers from locally and out-of-state into the heart of our city,” Minister Bettison said.
“Harvest Rock was really embraced by audiences in its inaugural year, with the two-day festival generating $16.5 million in total economic activity for Adelaide and almost one-third of festival goers attending from interstate and overseas. With the line-up announcement imminent, it’s time to save the date – and start planning your trip – for an epic weekend in Adelaide, this October.” said Minister Bettison.
In 2023, the destination event will cater to seasoned concert goers, families, food and beverage connoisseurs and new music fans.
