Health advice on Coronavirus for Monash

Tonight Council became aware of a confirmed case of Coronavirus involving a 60-year-old man who had dined at a Glen Waverley restaurant on Sunday, 26 January (Australia Day).

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is asking anyone who was at the restaurant The House of Delight at Level 1, 52 Montclair Avenue, Glen Waverley, between 5.30pm and 7pm on Sunday 26 January to contact the Department.

The Department is advising there is a low risk to other diners but want to speak to them as a precaution. If you were at the restaurant, or know anyone that was, please contact the Department on 1300 651 160.

Council is working closely with the Department and the Municipal Association Victoria on this issue.

The State Government has updated its advice regarding people who have recently travelled to the Hubei province of China, including Wuhan City. The new advice is that people should self-isolate for 14 days after leaving the province. Adults should not attend work and children should not attend school, kindergarten or childcare.
