Help improve great outdoors across NSW

Residents across NSW are being encouraged to help shape the future of open spaces.

The Department of Planning and Environment’s Commissioner of Open Space Fiona Morrison said the community is invited to provide its thoughts by completing the NSW Regional Outdoor Survey.

“Access to open space is incredibly important to the health and happiness of our communities. We want to know what is important to the people of NSW in their open spaces” Ms Morrison said.

“Whether it be picnicking with friends and family, walking the dog, jogging, cycling, or just relaxing in the park, we want to hear how you access the great outdoors.”

“The results of this survey will help us understand the needs of the community and help plan for the future.”

Ms Morrison said the survey takes a few minutes to complete.

“We appreciate communities know what they want and need in their local area” she said.

“We hope to receive more than 10,000 responses from all corners of the state to help shape the future of NSW.”
