How to mark ANZAC Day at home

There are many ways to mark ANZAC Day this
Saturday 25 April.

While we can’t physically attend services and
gather with others, we can still show our respect from home.

The City of Greater Geelong has 88
commemorative banners currently installed across the region and will lower
flags and turn the catenary lights red on the day.

Local RSL branches have made private
arrangements for ANZAC Day and ask the public to follow current social
distancing and mass gathering restrictions and stay home.

Here’s how you can participate in ANZAC Day
this year:

Tune in

The ABC will broadcast the National Memorial
Service from the Australian War Memorial live on ABCTV, radio, iview and online
from 5.30am.

At about 6am, The Last Post will be followed by
a minute of silence.

There will also be a two-minute reflection –
including The Ode, The Last Post and a minute of silence – on ABCTV, radio,
iview and online at 11.30am.
