IFM Investors today announced the appointment of Dr. Zachary May to the newly-established role of Executive Director, Strategy and Policy.
Dr. May joins IFM Investors from Industry Super Australia (ISA) where he held the position Director of Policy.
IFM Investors Global Head of External Relations Mr. David Whiteley said: “We are delighted Zak will join our global team, where his strategic counsel will be highly valued. During his seven years at ISA, Zak was central to the delivery of exceptional policy outcomes for six million working Australians who are industry super fund members.”
Prior to joining ISA, Dr. May was Counsel to Commissioner Luis A. Aguilar at the United States Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC), where he assisted with the US regulatory response to the global financial crisis. He has also worked as a Senior Counsel for the US Office of General Counsel.
Dr. May is a graduate of the New York University School of Law and the University of Redlands, California.
As a member of IFM Investors’ external relations team, Dr. May will work with the firm’s clients and communicate with regulators on a global level, to drive the firms contribution to public policy excellence and assist with positioning the firm strategically for continued growth.
Dr. May starts with IFM Investors on March 4.
