Police have released an image as they appeal for assistance from the public to help identify a man who was involved in a crash in Sydney yesterday.
The crash – which involved three vehicles on the Sydney Harbour Bridge – occurred about 7.10am (Monday 7 March 2022).
One of the drivers involved in the crash was taken to Royal North Short Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition. He has not yet spoken to police due to his condition.
Despite their attempts, officers from Sydney City Police Area Command investigating the incident have been unable to identify him and therefore have been unable to notify his family.
As inquiries into the man’s identity continue, police have released an image of a distinctive tattoo on the man’s hand, in the hope a member of the public is able to assist them.
The tattoo on the man’s hand depicts an eye on the top of the man’s hand, with an illustration including wavy lines coming from the eye across the man’s fingers and wrist.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s or 30s, about 175cm tall and was wearing a black hooded jacket and red shorts at the time of the incident.
