We have published the department’s response to the government-specific findings of the Chief Scientist’s Independent Audit of NOPSEMA’s Consideration of Exploration in the Great Australian Bight.
The Implementation report describes actions we are taking, and some we have completed, to improve:
- our communication of how offshore oil and gas companies manage risks to the environment; and
- community confidence in the offshore petroleum regulatory framework.
