An investigation is underway after a man was shot dead in a home in Sydney’s west tonight.
Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command responded following reports of a shooting at a home at Wentworthville just before 8pm (Monday 29 June 2020).
On arrival, NSW Ambulance paramedics located a man, believed to be aged in his 40, with a gunshot wound to his leg. Despite their efforts, the man died at the scene.
A crime scene has been established and specialist forensic officers will conduct examinations.
Local detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
