Inquiries underway after man stabbed at Bargo, NSW

Police are appealing for information as they investigate the stabbing of a man at Bargo at the weekend.

Emergency services were called to a service station on the Hume Highway, Pheasants Nest, about 11.45pm Saturday (7 November 2020), and found a 34-year-old man with a stab wound to his chest.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he underwent surgery and remains in a critical but stable condition.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command have received unconfirmed information that the incident may have been the result of an argument near the railway overpass on Remembrance Drive at Bargo about 11.30pm.

The injured man was being driven to hospital by a family member when his condition deteriorated and emergency services were alerted.

As police continue to investigate the report, a number of items have been seized for analysis. Investigators hope to speak further with the man once he is well enough.
