International Security Officers Day

Every day, security officers put themselves in harm’s way to protect the public from danger. Yet few people ever recognise the sacrifices they make.

July 24 (24/7) is International Security Officers Day. The date has been chosen specifically to represent the 24/7 nature of security work.

The Queensland Police Service, Protective Services Group recently transitioned into the Security and Counter Terrorism Command where they will continue to provide Queensland with static, patrol, alarm monitoring and consultancy services.

Today, we are taking a moment to recognise our Protective Services Group staff and officers.
