John McGrath appointed to Burswood Park Board

  • Burswood Park Board welcomes new board member John McGrath
  • Respected former Member of Parliament John McGrath has been appointed to the Burswood Park Board, which oversees the 53 hectare parkland on the banks of the Swan River.

    Mr McGrath will replace retiring board president Janelle Marr, who has resigned in order to fulfil another board position, on March 1.

    Burswood Park is governed by a five member board, which reports to the Racing and Gaming Minister.

    Mr McGrath brings decades of experience from a career in media and as a Member of Parliament.

    As stated by Racing and Gaming Minister Tony Buti:

    “The Burswood Park area is becoming increasingly important as the eastern edge of the city continues to develop and grow.

    “I extend a warm welcome to incoming board member John McGrath and thank outgoing president Janelle Marr for her great work on the board.

    “Mr McGrath has a strong understanding and appreciation of the Burswood Park area and brings great enthusiasm to the role.”
