Judgement day for Horsham

Keep Australia Beautiful (KAB) judges will be in Horsham on May 17 to review the city’s entry in the national Tidy Towns awards.

National Judge Gail Langley will compare Horsham against six other towns and communities across Australia that were also state finalists.

Horsham Tidy Towns Committee chair David Eltringham said his group had prepared a competitive program for the judge to see.

“When the committee brought forward suggestions of suitable entries for the award categories we had many community options that could have been included,” Mr Eltringham said.

“Committee members have been working with these community groups and look forward to showcasing what our community in Horsham has to offer in meeting the objectives of Keep Australia Beautiful and giving us a healthy lifestyle,” Mr Eltringham said.

“We are therefore confident our submission will again be a winner for the national awards”.

“The help of all in our community to present all areas of Horsham city at our very best will be important to make Horsham a winner. So please clean-up and tidy-up for Tuesday 17 May,” he said.

National winners will be announced in Hastings in late July.
