The Labor Opposition should hang their head in shame in continuing to mislead and scare Tasmanians over power.
The Rockliff Liberal Government has been very open and transparent with the Tasmanian community: we need to keep investing in boosting our energy capacity to meet the demands of a growing economy.
“Hydro has provided a wonderful legacy for our state, but we must continue to look to the future and build our power capacity,” Minister Guy Barnett said.
“That’s why we are working hard to make sure the Marinus Link becomes a reality: on terms that are right for Tasmania.
“While the Rockliff Liberal Government has a power plan, all Labor has is a power struggle.
“The open warfare engulfing the Opposition is creating future confusion over their already wishy washy position on Marinus.
“Add to that, Labor’s thought bubble policy of a price cap is a dangerous threat to our energy security.
“It will destroy the retail sector and severely damage business confidence to make the investments we need to grow our energy supply.” Minister Barnett said.
Labor simply can’t be trusted on power.
