Greater Shepparton City Council is reminding residents, local community groups and not-for-profit organisations to apply for their share of funding through Council’s Community Grants Program.
Applications for Round 1 of the 2026/2027 program close at 5pm on Monday 10 August 2026. There are 10 grant programs open, each supporting initiatives that strengthen community connection, participation and local engagement.
The available grant programs include:
- Access and Inclusion Grant
- Community Matching Grants
- Creative City Grants
- Heritage Conservation Grants Program
- International Women’s Day Community Grants Program
- Minor and Major Event Grant
- Small Town Australia Day Event Grant Program
- Seniors Festival Grants
- Our Sporting Future
- Small Towns Festive Event Grant
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, encouraged residents to check their eligibility and consider applying now.
“If you have a creative idea for a community initiative or project, now is your opportunity to receive funding to transform your idea into reality,” he said.
“The Community Grants Program is about investing in local community projects and initiatives. We know the benefits extend beyond clubs and groups to the wider community. Now is your chance to apply, so I encourage anyone who is eligible to submit an application.”
