Launch of StartNorth: future of business innovation & success

Mayor of Hume City, Councillor Carly Moore welcomed an exciting day last week for the entrepreneurs and small businesses of Melbourne’s North, with the official opening of StartNorth – a new coworking space designed for startups, scaleups and small businesses.

“StartNorth is much more than a shared office environment. It is set to become a community of like-minded, motivated individuals who are all striving for business excellence.

“Many entrepreneurs and home-based business operators find even the most motivated person craves the energy and inspiration of working around like-minded people, which is why StartNorth is an incredible asset for our community.

“StartNorth was architecturally designed for productivity and provides all the practical requirements, workspace desks, private offices, events, programs and staff support.

“The highlight however is the community of entrepreneurs, startups and small businesses that will energise each other to achieve their goals.

“With 18 members already calling StartNorth home, now is the time for interested entrepreneurs to join this community, who passionately support their coworkers, celebrate their successes and contribute to their sustainable growth.”

StartNorth is located in the beautifully renovated Town Hall Broadmeadows, which underwent a $25 million redevelopment, including a $7 million investment from the Victorian Government.

LaunchVic also supported StartNorth providing $132,500 funding for two business support programs.

Councillor Moore said to give local businesses a taste of what StartNorth can offer, registrations are now open for three Free Day Pass Friday’s.

“This free coworking opportunity provides full access to the coworking space between 9 am to 5pm and includes access to the flexible desks, communal area, lounge, Wi-Fi and refreshments all conveniently located close to transport, the shopping centre and local cafes,” Cr Moore said.

“This is a unique opportunity to network with other businesses, startups and entrepreneurs.

“I also encourage local business people to take part in the exciting array of events on offer, which will guide, motivate and inform local entrepreneurs about the latest business trends and keys to business success.”
