Liquor seized – Daly River 17 August

Northern Territory Police have seized a significant amount of liquor and drugs destined for alcohol protected areas.

Between 6:00pm and 9:00pm on Saturday 15 August, police checked 12 vehicles and seized 50 grams of cannabis, 94 bottles of spirits, and assorted beer and wine totalling 121 litres.

One vehicle was seized under provisions of the Liquor Act 2019.

Four people have been issued notices to appear in court for offences including driving unlicensed and bring/possess liquor into an alcohol protected area. Three liquor infringement notices were issued.

An infringement notice was issued to a 25-year-old man for smoking tobacco with children in the vehicle and possess cannabis.
