Lives lost total amended, South Australia

The number of lives lost on the State’s roads has been amended to 18 following investigations into a fatal crash in Salisbury this month.

The incident occurred just after 5.30pm on Monday 2 March Police and emergency services were called to Gawler Street in Salisbury after reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a bus. Sadly the pedestrian, a 20-year-old Northfield man, died at the scene.

Following an investigation, the young man’s death will not be counted in the ‘Lives Lost’ road total. Lives lost on the state’s road is 18 compared with 20 at the same time last year.
