London contentious financial services offering at Ashurst boosted with new partner

Global law firm Ashurst announces the appointment of Adam Jamieson as a partner in the London dispute resolution practice.

Adam joins from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner where he was a partner in the Disputes & Investigations department. He specialises in advising financial services firms, listed companies and senior individuals involved in internal and regulatory investigations. Adam has significant experience of representing clients in regulatory enforcement investigations conducted by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority. Adam previously spent a year on secondment to the FCA’s Enforcement & Market Oversight Division.

Tom Connor, EMEA Head of Dispute Resolution, commented that Adam will make an excellent addition to the firm’s dispute resolution team: “Adam is a highly regarded practitioner, with a deep understanding of financial services regulation and strong client support. Ashurst has one of the largest and best known non-contentious financial services practices. Adam’s arrival, following the hire of Nathan Willmott in January 2022, reflects Ashurst’s ambition to build a market leading contentious financial services practice.”

Adam said that he looks forward to joining the Ashurst team: “Ashurst has an impressive reputation for its financial services work. I am excited to be joining the firm, and look forward to adding my expertise to the team and helping to continue to grow the contentious regulatory practice.”
