Looking after our mental health

October is National Mental Health Month and we are reminded of the importance of looking after our mental health and wellbeing.

It’s an important time where the Australian community comes together to raise awareness and promote better mental health for all.

To mark Mental Health Month, Brimbank Council has organised a range of events to help improve your mental health and wellbeing, such as:

  • online yoga and meditation, and get relaxed sessions aimed at VCE students
  • social connection and mental health online session
  • art for everyone, water colour workshop series
  • mindfulness and meditation
  • community conversations, reducing gambling harm in Brimbank
  • money minded: financial wellbeing
  • fun interactive dance party for young people
  • understanding mental health, self-care and when to seek support
  • wellness for carers
  • learn how to create a wellbeing plan.
