Two semi-trailers have crashed head-on and caught alight in the state’s Southern Region tonight.
About 10.30pm (Monday 23 December 2019), two semi-trailers travelling on the Newell Highway crashed head-on about 1km north of the Jerilderie township towards Narrandera.
Both male drivers got out of their trucks before they caught alight.
The drivers were not seriously hurt.
Emergency services remain on scene and are conducting a full investigation.
The highway is expected to be closed as the clean-up gets underway.
