Following a competitive tender process, Monash Council is pleased to confirm the appointment of Lyons Architects to design the Glen Waverley Civic Precinct project. The decision comes after an extensive selection process, with Lyons Architects emerging as the preferred firm to bring the vision for the precinct to life following community consultation in 2023.

The Glen Waverley Civic Precinct project aims to create a vibrant and modern community hub that will serve as a focal point for residents and visitors. The project will include the redevelopment of the existing library, and community spaces, as well as the addition of new facilities to meet the growing needs of the community.

Mayor Cr Nicky Luo expressed her excitement, stating “We are thrilled to have Lyons Architects on board for this significant project,” said Cr Luo.

“Lyons Architects is a renowned architectural firm with a strong track record in delivering award winning public spaces across Australia.

“With their focus on creating quality public spaces, sustainability and community engagement, Lyons Architects will work with Council and our community to bring this exciting project to life,”.

The Lyons Architects team will now commence the detailed design phase, reviewing feedback from our community last year, and working closely with Council and stakeholders to ensure the project aligns with the community’s vision.

The team from Lyons Architects will build on the work that ARM Architecture delivered to prepare an engaging and exciting design that went to community consultation in 2023.

“Council thanks the ARM Architecture team for their work on this project which enabled us to present an engaging and exciting concept to our community last year.

“The ARM team have positioned the project for success, and we look forward to delivering on this vision,” added Cr Luo.
