Man charged after woman critical, two seriously injured following crash – Guildford

A man has been charged after three women were seriously injured – with one in a critical condition – following a crash in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 10.30pm (Sunday 8 November 2026), emergency services were called to Woodville Road, Guildford, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command attended and were told a grey station wagon had collided with a white sedan before hitting a stationary grey sedan, causing the grey sedan to hit a stationary black coupe and injure three women.

The black coupe was stopped on the road due to a flat tyre, with the occupants standing on the road next to the car.

The driver of grey sedan – a 23-year-old man – was also standing on the road assisting the women and was uninjured.

The women – aged 21, 22, 54 – were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The 54-year-old was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition with head and body injuries.

The 22-year-old was taken to the same hospital with leg injuries in a serious but stable condition.

The 21-year-old was taken to Liverpool Hospital also with leg injuries in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the grey station wagon – a 21-year-old man – was subjected to roadside breath testing which returned a negative result.

The 21-year-old man was arrested and taken to Auburn Hospital for mandatory testing before he was later taken to Granville Police Station.

He has since been charged with three counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm – drive manner dangerous, and negligent driving (occasioning grievous bodily harm).

He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Monday 9 November 2026).
