Man comes forward after hit-run in Fitzroy North

A 30-year-old has been interviewed by police after a man was seriously injured in a hit-run collision in Fitzroy earlier this month.

The Coburg man made contact with police yesterday afternoon following an appeal for information about the incident which occurred on Brunswick Street on Monday 3 April about 3.15am.

It is alleged a 30-year-old cyclist was riding along the street when he was struck by a car which left the scene.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver has been interviewed in relation to the alleged hit-run collision and is expected to be charged on summons.
