Man dies after April crash in St Helens

With the permission of his family, sadly police can confirm St Helens man Nigel Suter, aged 65, died as a result of a single vehicle crash in St Helens recently.

Shortly after midday on Friday 16 April, a black Mercedes Benz sedan crashed at the intersection of Heritage Road and Argonaut Road, St Helens.

The Mercedes was driven by Mr Suter and he was treated by ambulance officers before being transferred to St Helens District Hospital and then onwards by air ambulance to the Royal Hobart Hospital. Unfortunately, Mr Suter passed away on 20 April in the Royal Hobart Hospital.

Our condolences go to his family and friends at this difficult time.

St Helens Police are completing a report to the Coroner with regard to the circumstances of the crash.

Police ask that anyone who saw Mr Suter or his Black Mercedes Benz driving in St Helens on the morning of Friday 16 April 2021 to contact St Helens Police on 131444.
