A man has died after being hit by a car in his driveway in the Riverina region earlier today.
About 6.30am (Thursday 28 January 2021), police were called to a home in Junee, following reports a man had been struck by his car and was unresponsive.
Officers from Riverina Police District attended and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Initial inquiries suggest the man was standing in his driveway, when a Ford Falcon rolled out of the garage and he became trapped underneath the wheel, before being dragged for a short distance. The park brake was not believed to be applied to the vehicle.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the man died at the scene.
He has since been identified as the 67-year-old occupant of the home.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
