Man dies after two-vehicle crash at Sutton

A man has died following a crash in the state’s south at the weekend.

Emergency services were called to the Federal Highway, Sutton, about 1am Saturday (15 April 2023), following reports of a crash.

On arrival, officers from Monaro Police District found a southbound utility and a northbound semi-trailer collided in the northbound lane.

The 23-year-old man driving the ute died at the scene.

The 53-year-old male driver of the semi-trailer was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established, and investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police will prepare a report outlining the circumstances of the man’s death for the information of the Coroner.
