A man has died whilst scuba diving at Byron Bay this afternoon.
About 11.45am today (Tuesday 24 September 2019), emergency services were called to The Pass, Byron Bay following reports a diver had been pulled from the water unconscious.
Members of the public began CPR on the man, believed to be aged in his 30s, before paramedics arrived.
Despite their efforts, the man died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
