A man has died, and a woman is in a critical condition following a double stabbing in Sydney’s west today.
Just before 12.45pm (Saturday 30 May 2020), emergency services were called to a home on Tongariro Terrace, Bidwill, following reports of a stabbing.
Officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command attended and found a woman, aged in her 20s, outside the home with stab wounds to her stomach.
She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
A man, also aged in his 20s, was found inside the home with stab wounds to his chest. He died at the scene.
The pair are known to each other.
A crime scene has been established which will be examined by specialist forensic police.
Detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surround the incident.
