Man injured during assault and rob at Seven Hills, NSW

A man has been injured following an assault and rob at Seven Hills overnight.

About 11.20pm (Monday 19 April 2021), a man was walking towards his parked car in Best Road when he noticed a man inside.

As he neared the Audi, the other man saw him approaching and ran from the scene.

The owner of the car chased the man in his vehicle into Boomerang Place where he stopped and confronted the other man and an altercation commenced.

Police have been told the man produced a weapon and assaulted the driver before running into Seven Hills Railway Station.

It is believed cash was stolen during the incident.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

The 43-year-old man was treated at the scene for facial injuries by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to taken to Blacktown Hospital in a stable condition.

Police are now searching for a man described as being of Caucasian appearance with a chubby build wearing a cream or grey hooded jumper.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
