Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have identified a man after he was located unconscious in Tarneit yesterday morning (22 April).
The 40-year-old Werribee man was found by a passer-by about 2.55am near Tammy Lane and Mirror Avenue.
He was assessed by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
His family have now come forward.
The circumstances surrounding the man’s condition are still unknown however are not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
