Man to face court after breach of personal violence order at Cooma, NSW

A man will appear in court today, charged with stalking offences and intimidation after allegedly breaching a personal violence order.

Police will allege that the man continued to harass and intimidate a woman through social media despite a

personal violence order served upon him in October last year.

The matter was reported to police in January 2020, with officers attached to Monaro Police District commencing an investigation.

Following inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a home on Geewa Street in Cooma yesterday (Thursday 9 April 2020) and arrested a 29-year-old man.

He was taken to Cooma Police Station and charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal), eight counts of contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Personal), and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal).

The Cooma man was refused bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court today (Friday 10 April 2020).
