The calling to serve the community has reached the Morris family loud and clear with husband and wife duo Paul and Talina both graduating from the QPS Police Academy today, following in their daughter’s footsteps.
Former high school teacher, 51-year-old Paul, whose father was also a police officer, married 46-year-old Talina 28 years ago.
The couple were visiting a police friend who was telling them about their exciting career in policing which spurred their interest.
Their daughter graduated from the Academy earlier this year and will be at today’s ceremony to see her parents’ graduate.
Paul and Talina will both be deployed to Rockhampton.
The pair are among 38 recruits and four police dogs graduating at a ceremony at Oxley.
