One connected system spans menu planning, production, procurement, digital ordering and point of sale, replacing the disconnected tools most retirement living, aged care and hospital operations run today. Available to Australian providers from 30 September. SYDNEY, 30 September 2026 – MealSuite, the first AI-powered catering platform purpose-built for retirement living, aged care and hospitals, will be available to Australian providers from 30 September, supported by a local team based in Macquarie Park, Sydney.
Most Australian aged care catering operations run on separate tools that don’t talk to each other. One system holds the recipes. A spreadsheet works out production, ordering happens by email or phone with suppliers and the till at the café knows nothing about a resident’s diet or their account. MealSuite brings dietary management, menu planning, food production, procurement, inventory, digital ordering and point of sale together in one connected system, from the first menu decision through to the moment a meal is served.
One system, from menu planning through to resident service
For retirement living teams, that means a catering program that attracts and satisfies residents, effortless personalised service and point of sale that captures revenue they are already delivering but not billing for. For aged care and hospital teams, it means therapeutic diets, allergen tracking and IDDSI levels managed in one place, with resident and patient profiles synced to the electronic medical record.
The newest generation of the platform, MealSuite NXT, is powered by ANDI, a built-in AI assistant that works alongside food services teams to plan faster, stay audit-ready and find savings they didn’t know were there. Across the operation, MealSuite covers:
Menu planning and recipes: personalised menus built from resident profiles that hold dietary needs, preferences, allergens and textures, with recipes checked automatically against every profile
Dietary and clinical accuracy: therapeutic diets, allergen tracking and IDDSI levels in one place, with diet orders and admissions flowing in from the electronic medical record
Production and food safety: production calculated in real time against the menu and occupancy, with HACCP checklists and wireless temperature monitoring replacing paper records
Procurement: with live pricing from major food vendors and orders built around menu cycles and occupancy so teams never over-order or run short
Ordering and point of sale: residents ordering at the table, at the bedside, on their own device or at a kiosk, with items linked to their dietary profile and their account
Reporting: real-time dashboards on cost, meal popularity, safety gaps and service, with corporate controls if you manage multiple sites
Arriving as Australian standards shift
The timing aligns with a change in what Australian providers are asked to demonstrate. The Aged Care Act 2024 commenced on 1 November 2025 and introduced the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, placing food, nutrition and the dining experience in a Quality Standard of their own for the first time. In residential aged care alone, Australian providers serve well over 200 million meals a year, and residents and families are expecting more from them than ever.
“We’re not another menu system. MealSuite runs the whole operation, from menu planning and procurement through to POS and resident service. Australia’s Strengthened Quality Standards match what we’ve been doing in North America for many years, and that alignment and shifting demands make this the perfect time to expand our presence.”

A growing local team
MealSuite Australia operates from Macquarie Park, one of Sydney’s best-known technology and business hubs, with a growing team including a General Manager, a Business Development Manager and dedicated implementation and support teams. MealSuite believes food services teams deserve technology and support built around their day, not adapted from another market.
Implementation is already underway with the company’s first major Australian customer, across 39 sites.
Aurelien Roques has been appointed General Manager of MealSuite Australia.
“To me, a meal is more than food. It’s a moment of connection. Growing up in France with a father who was a chef and cooking teacher taught me that. MealSuite simplifies catering and regulatory complexity, so care teams can focus on what matters: the meal, the moment and the people.”
– Aurelien Roques, General Manager, MealSuite Australia
MealSuite serves Retirement Living, Residential Aged Care, Hospital and Mental Health Services operators, replacing the spreadsheets, paper menus and disconnected tools many operations still rely on with one connected system.
