Methylamphetamine, MDMA and cocaine seized, NSW

A man has been charged after drugs were found following a vehicle stop in the state’s Northern Tablelands overnight.

About 12.50am (Thursday 18 June 2020), officers attached to New England Police District stopped a silver Holden Commodore in Brissett Street, Inverell, due to manner of driving.

After further checks, police conducted a search of the vehicle, locating and seizing methylamphetamine, MDMA and cocaine.

The drugs have an estimated potential street value of just over $28,000.

The 40-year-old man was arrested and taken to Inverell Police Station.

He was charged with six counts of possess prohibited drug and four counts of supply prohibited drug.

The man was refused bail to appear at Tamworth Local Court today (Thursday 18 June 2020).
