An elderly man missing from Newcastle area has been located safe and well.
The 81-year-old was last seen at an aged care facility on Christo Road, Waratah West, about 7.45am today (Friday 12 January 2024).
When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Newcastle City Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Following inquiries, he was located in Woolgoola, about 7pm on Friday (12 January 2024).
Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.
