More than 3kg of cannabis seized; man charged in Narellan

A man will appear in court today charged with drug and property offences in Narellan yesterday.

About 12pm (Tuesday 21 April 2020), officers attached to Camden Police Area Command stopped a Volkswagen Golf on Camden Valley Way.

Officers spoke with the driver and searched the vehicle, allegedly locating $6,400 in cash concealed under the steering wheel of the vehicle and a resealable plastic bag containing 19.4g of cannabis.

The driver, a 35-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with possess prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court on Tuesday 23 June 2020.

Following inquiries, a search warrant was executed at a home on Rudd Street, Narellan, just after 4pm, where an additional 3.2kg of cannabis, 18 brand watches and tools were allegedly located.

The 35-year-old man was again arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with supply cannabis – indictable and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.

He was refused bail to now appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (Wednesday 22 April 2020).
