Motorcycle rider injured at Brighton

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating after two vehicle crashed at Brighton this afternoon.

The crash occurred at the Houghton Highway intersection with the Deagon Deviation between a motorcycle and a utility at about 4.15pm.

As a result of the crash both vehicles were engulfed in flames and destroyed.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 45-year-old Woody Point man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with critical injuries.

The occupants of the utility, a 58-year-old man and his 55-year-old female passenger, both from Scarborough, and a one-year old boy, were not injured.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash and who have not spoken to police, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact them (details below).
